compares trailing vs ratchet
Uses the same MA / RSI / trend-filter settings from the Live tab. Follows the lights:
enter long when a pair turns green, short when it turns red, exit when the light changes.

How to read this. Each trade uses the current Stop/Reward:Risk settings to set an ATR
stop and take-profit target at entry, and exits at whichever is hit first — falling back to a
signal-flip exit if neither is reached. Hits are detected from each bar's high/low when
available (real IG/Twelve Data history); demo data has no highs/lows, so it falls back to
checking closes only, which is less precise about wicks. If a single bar's range could have hit
both stop and target, the stop is assumed to have happened first — a conservative guess, since
neither data source tells us the order of events within a bar. Pips are net of the spread cost
above. The equity curve and Max DD are per pair — each pair's trades run in their own sequence,
and this simulation has no shared timeline across pairs to blend them into one portfolio curve,
so don't read "Max DD" as your total account drawdown if you trade several pairs at once. This
still ignores slippage, swaps/rollover, and position sizing, and no discretion is
applied. Past performance says nothing about future results — treat this as a sanity
check on whether the rules have any edge, not a promise.
Connect a platform on the Profile tab to see your live account.
Live data pulled from your active trading platform (set on the Profile tab) via the secure
backend function. For IG, the Close button closes the real position (always behind a
confirmation); MetaTrader is currently read-only here. If this tab shows an error, check
your credentials on the Profile tab.
Auto-pilot performance (all-time)
Start an auto-pilot session
Opens and manages trades on your behalf, within limits you set here, for a fixed amount of
time. Every trade it places goes through the exact same order-placement code your own
"Place trade" button uses, with a stop-loss and take-profit attached the moment it opens —
auto-pilot only adds the decision of when to open/close, never a different way of placing
the order itself.
Past sessions
Auto-pilot ticks once an hour, right after the signal check — a reversal has to hold for
"reversal confirm ticks" hours in a row before it closes a position, so one bad hour doesn't
trigger anything. When a session's time runs out it stops opening new trades and stops
watching for reversals, but leaves anything still open alone — its stop-loss and take-profit
keep protecting it either way. This is decision-support automation you configure and switch
on yourself, not a signal service acting without your say-so.

The economic calendar this app already watches, now visible. Announcements like rate decisions
and jobs figures move currencies sharply, and the app reacts to them in two places: your Live
signal cards show a caution when one is close, and auto-pilot holds off opening new trades on
the affected currencies. "Surprise" compares what economists expected against what was
actually announced — a bigger-than-expected number isn't automatically good for a currency,
it depends on the measure, so anything outside a small list of well-understood releases is
shown as unclear rather than guessed at. All figures are public data published by the
statistics agencies themselves.

Pulled directly from your broker's own deal history (IG or MetaTrader) — every closed position on that account,
including trades you placed on the broker's own site or app, not just ones logged through this
dashboard. These are the broker's reported figures, not this app's pip-based estimate from the
Journal tab, so the two may differ slightly for trades placed here. Read-only.
Trades you log from the Live tab land here. Profit/loss is calculated from your risk-per-pip
at entry (stop distance vs the £ you risked), so it stays consistent with the position size —
no live rate needed. Enter the price you actually exited at and hit Close to record the result.
This is a personal log, not connected to any broker.

stored encrypted and putting a live trading password in your Downloads folder would be
handing out the keys to your money. Deleting is permanent and immediate.

Trade alerts
Get notified the moment a pair produces a fresh green/red signal, or auto-pilot opens/closes a
trade — even when you're not on the site. Text and email are opt-in and independent; off by
default. WhatsApp needs an approved WhatsApp sender set up on the Twilio side first — if that
isn't done yet, picking WhatsApp here will just mean texts silently don't arrive.

Trading platform—
The Account tab connects to one platform at a time. Switching here doesn't delete anything
you've already saved on another platform — come back to it later without re-entering it.

Read this. These lights are your chosen rules (MA crossover + RSI) applied to price
data — nothing more. They do not predict the market and are not financial advice. No indicator
reliably forecasts profitable trades. Use this as one input alongside your own judgement and risk
management. You are responsible for every trade you place.
